Advocacy Tasmania Has Gone Mobile

We are delighted to announce that we have gone mobile!  This means that we are no longer working out of our previous offices in Sandy Bay and Devonport.  Instead, we are out working exclusively in the community.  This change has meant that we can employ more advocates, increase our reach across Tasmania and better meet the needs of our clients.

Indefinite Detention Inquiry

We prepared a submission to the Senate Inquiry into indefinite detention of people with cognitive and psychiatric impairment in Australia.  Our submission highlighted some recurring experiences of people we have worked with receiving long-term involuntary treatment under the Mental Health Act 2013.
